April Walker, M.A., is a Licensed Reiki Master Teacher with the International Center for Reiki Training ICRT and a national educator specializing in Reiki certification, advanced Reiki modalities, and professional practitioner development. She trains students across the United States and internationally through online and in-person programs offered through Reiki Training Central.
April has more than two decades of full-time experience as a Reiki practitioner and teacher. She has completed more than one thousand hours of advanced training and supervised practice with one of the largest Reiki organizations in the world. Her teaching focuses on clarity, precision, accessibility, and a grounded understanding of how Reiki supports emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.
With a Master of Arts in Human Development and more than thirty years of professional teaching experience, April brings a strong academic foundation to her Reiki training. She has taught nationally and served as a college instructor in Adaptive Physical Education, Health, Child Development, Human Services, and Psychology. Her background in adult learning shapes all of her certification programs, making them structured, practical, and deeply supportive for new and experienced practitioners.
April’s interest in Reiki and energy healing began when her own family faced complex health challenges. This led her to study how emotional patterns, belief systems, and energetic imbalances influence well-being. The principles she learned formed the basis of her teaching approach and the programs she now offers to students who want to develop confidence, professional skill, and a clear understanding of Reiki practice.
Her classes emphasize grounded instruction, strong lineage, hands-on practice, trauma-sensitive communication, and real-world application. Students learn how to work ethically, effectively, and with confidence, whether they intend to practice personally or professionally. April provides ongoing mentorship, structured curriculum, and clear pathways from beginner level to Reiki Master and Reiki Teacher certification.
She teaches students worldwide through Zoom and WhatsApp and offers in person Reiki classes and teacher trainings by request. Specialty programs include Kid Reiki Divine Heart Energy, Animal Reiki Training, Reiki Drumming, and Reiki Crystal Techniques. Private group classes for six or more are available.
